I have known Barbara Dickerson almost ten years, first meeting her through a friend that knew her. At the time, as well as now, I was fully engaged in a successful business. With the downturn of the economy at that time, I wanted to spend my extra time exploring and expanding a passion I've had for oil painting. For many years painting, for me, was a way to preserve and express the many aspects of life, including portraits of family members.
These past years with Barb's expert and compassionate teaching ability, my painting has produce so many paintings of various canvas sizes. I'm extremely proud of the many relatives, nieces and nephews, and my husband that I have painted.
Needless to say the friendships that have developed with other students/artists and Barb have become a part of my life and has added to my joy in life.
Barb's teaching style is unique and encouraging, but more so it is filled with compassion and love for her students.
